ABOUT THE SPACE

This was a unique project and a unique client. This home is nestled below Table Mountain minutes away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

This is a heritage site and therefore there were restrictions in terms of what we could do with the property. Before my client took occupation, the house was used as office space for a small legal firm.

Our job was to transform it from office to home and create a happy safe environment for my client and her son. The walls have been painted a soft pink, hardly noticeable in the images on the website. The beautiful soft pink velvet arm chairs are a feature in the living room. They complement the incredible painting by Alexia Vogel on the wall behind in the dining room.

The bathrooms and the kitchen were gutted and renovated. We used a classic black and white tile on the bathroom floors, white beveled metro tiles on the bathroom walls and kept the existing wooden flooring thought the rest of the house.

I was fortunate enough to have the most incredible pieces of art to work with. They were all been hand-picked and sourced by the client over the past few years.
We took an Ardmore table cloth and used it to cover a king-sized headboard in the main bedroom. A quirky yet effective feature.
